My face most of the time when taking photos.

My passion for food adventures mainly started in college when I traveled more, had a higher number of non-chain restaurant options compared to the suburbs, and made more like-minded friends who also loved food.

I learned to cook on through experimenting with numerous online recipes over the years. Although no expert, I’m still experimenting and learning to this day!

Nowadays, I’m still on the lookout for trying new restaurants but still have some go-to restaurants. I use a Lumix G95 camera and a couple of lenses to shoot all my food photos, but my favorite is the macro lens for all my close-up food shots. My fiancé has been instrumental to and a huge help to my food blogging and photography hobby.

These waffle fries at The Chicago Diner were delicious!

When I’m not doing food blogging and photography, I’m working a corporate job, connecting with loved ones, cooking/baking, watching movies and TV shows, reading, tending to my shrimp aquarium, and more. My bookshelf has multiple cookbooks, but the ones that I really like the most include Nom Nom Paleo and The Food Lab.

I’m generally open to trying new types of food. Some of my favorite cuisines include Asian, Mexican, European, South American, and New American.

I’m based in Chicago and explore a lot of restaurants in this city, but I plan to resume my goal of visiting one new destination every year once I’m able to travel again. There is still so much of the world that I want to see!

Happy exploring!
